Temperatures and Car Batteries

If you park your vehicle outside in the cold winter temperatures you may find that when you go to start your engine in the morning, your vehicle gives a bit of resistance when trying to get started. This doesn't necessarily mean that your vehicle's battery has some issues but it is usually just the cold temperatures causing your battery and other related components to work harder to get going.

If you would like to avoid this issue from occurring you can do a couple of different things. First, if you have a garage that you can park inside this will help bring your vehicle up a few degrees. If not, you should periodically start your vehicle and let it run for a bit even if you are not planning to go anywhere. This will keep everything in your vehicle warmer and ready to start when you need to get somewhere.
