RAM Trucks has partnered up with Warner Bros. and the Man of Steel Superman film, and the results are quite amazing. In addition to a new RAM 1500 ad spot interspersed with footage from the film, RAM has also created a one-of-a-kind- customized RAM 'Man of Steel' Power Wagon, which will be auctioned off for charity at a later date.
Olivier Francois, Chief Marketing Officer, Chrysler Group LLC, explains the idea behind this particular type of advertising, stating, "We are excited to partner with Warner Bros. on 'Man of Steel'. With film alignment we have a fresh consumer engagement opportunity, connecting the heroic character traits of Superman with Ram's DNA. Our custom creative and marketing program is squarely aimed at building advocacy among passionate fans outside traditional marketing channels."1 In other words, perhaps comic book fans will soon be more attracted to the RAM Truck brand.
As far as special features are concerned, the model features special 'Man of Steel' inspired branding, design cues, and colors. The truck made its official debut in NYC on June 10, 2013 at the film premiere. It will now be on display at special events this summer and fall, including the State Fair of Texas and the National Finals Rodeo. Later, at an unspecified date, it will go up for auction.
While Bedard Bros. Chrysler Jeep Dodge, located in Chesire, MA doesn't have the Superman pickup in our arsenal, we do have quite a few impressive new RAM models in stock. Stop by and do a bit of browsing, today!
