It was announced this past January that the Walter P. Chrysler Museum in Auburn Hills, Michigan was closing its doors. It still shelters some of the original vehicles in the Chrysler umbrella, detailing the automaker's strong history, with roughly 60-70 models left in its display. The public will be given one last chance to view these models through a special event that will re-open the museum doors.
The annual Chrysler Employee Motorsport Association car show is scheduled to take place in the museum on June 8 and anyone can attend. The theme this year is "Muscle: Past and Present." That means participants could expect to see older versions of the Chrysler 300, sporting tail fins and all. Of course, many other Chrysler nameplates will be on show too, along with irreplaceable concepts that never made it to production and much more.
The Chrysler Employee Motorsport Association has announced that proceeds generated by the event will benefit a local Detroit charity. The actual charity has yet to be determined but at Bedard Bros. Chrysler Jeep Dodge, we're certain it will be a worthy choice.
For more information on the event, visit www.cemaclub.org. Furthermore, if you have a strong desire to experience the Chrysler Museum, you can do so by booking it for a private function until the end of June. You can read up on that at www.wpchryslermuseum.org.
In the meantime, visit our Chrysler dealership in Cheshire, MA, where we welcome you to view our entire selection of new Chrysler vehicles. If you have any questions we are here to help as well as set you up with a test drive.
